As I forgave You

One of the most destructive forces that actively works against healing and wholeness is unforgiveness. For anyone who has been abused, physically, sexually or spiritually, for anyone who has been badly betrayed, forgiveness becomes a key issue to deal with. It is absolutely essential that the act of forgiveness be undertaken if healing and wholeness is to take place. A problem for many, is that forgiveness, what it is and how it works is largely misunderstood. This isn’t helped by different interpretations by different religions.

I’ll let you compare the difference, however, let me proceed with the concept that I believe applies to healing and wholeness. This is the idea introduced by the God of Israel and of which we find descriptions and examples in the Hebrew Bible. Wally Spiegler writes.

Extending forgiveness does not imply agreeing with, condoning, or minimizing any personal violation that has occurred. Nor does it necessarily mean reestablishing a relationship with a person who offended you. … When we stay in judgment, hurt, anger or resentment, we remain attached to the person who hurt us, which keeps the negative emotions flowing.

Another way of explaining forgiveness is the decision to give up our right to retribution. It is the nature of the human soul to overdo the payback. The concept of an eye for an eye is not a negative concept. It is dictating that the punishment must match the crime. This is called justice. In our world today, it seems a rare thing for real justice to be achieved. Justice can still be had and perused even after forgiveness has taken place.

Forgiveness does not mean in human terms forgetting. What forgiveness does do is remove the power over you that the offense places on you. There is a powerful word that Yeshua spoke regarding forgiveness.

Matthew 6:14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father shall also forgive you.“But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither shall your Father forgive your trespasses.”

This is something to meditate on, because the benefit promised by those who forgive is magnificent. If you have something that needs to be forgiven, then a metaphorical hole has been dug. That hole needs to be filled in for everything to return to normal. Every hole you and I have dug, every hole that everyone else has dug, including those who have offended, betrayed, abused and in any way harmed us. Ah, and there is the rub. For those who have done something against us, we don’t want their hole filled in. We want them to suffer! How, you ask, is every hole filled in. Well every offense ultimately is against the Creator. If someone injures me, they offend the Creator that made me. The simple beautiful truth is that Yeshua, the brought forth Son of God, His death and resurrection resulted in all the holes being filled in. Added to this is that Yeshua is described as the righteous judge. Everyone will get their just rewards.

Even if you don’t buy into the ‘God’ thing, there is still a valuable principle here. If we do not forgive, we hold onto the burden that troubles us. If God does not forgive our trespass, because we have not forgiven someone else, the burden remains for us to carry. Even though the hole that has been dug can be deemed as being filled in, if we don’t forgive, our holes remain unfilled and we bear the burden of filling them ourselves. As we can never satisfactorily do this, we carry a burden, we can never get rid of if we don’t forgive.

So, how do we forgive? The process is simple, but the battle of the heart can be arduous. The process is the make a decision of the will, to let go of your right to retribution. If you have faith in the God of Israel, you can trust Him to meter out appropriate justice. Because of the work of Yeshua through his death and resurrection,  every offense you have committed can be forgiven, removed, as if they never happened. Just as someone who has offended you can never repay their debt, neither can you repay your debt. Whatever, it takes, logic, faith, you need to exercise your will and make a decision to forgive. You then need to feed your heart with truth statements such as;

  • I am a person of value and have the right to move on with my life and be free
  • God is a just God and will repay evil and judge the unrepentant heart
  • I have been forgiven all my trespasses and because I trust in the work of Yeshua, these cannot be held against me, nor can I be made to feel guilty about them.
  • I am not to blame that others have violated and/or offended me.
  • As God has forgiven me, I can forgive others.
  • I don’t need to achieve retribution before I’m able to go on with my life.

To assist in the process, you can use the healing codes, or you can use this simple process below.

  1. Hold the feeling generated by the offense tightly and fell it with all your might.
  2. Let it go. (Don’t worry, you can take it back)
  3. Breath deeply.
  4. Now take it back, feel the offense again,
  5. Let it go.
  6. Breath Deeply,
  7. Do this again, 6 to 10 times.

You will likely notice that each time you go to take it back, its power will have diminished. Once your heart has let go, let it go for good and forgive. You may need a coach to run through this process with you. Find your mensch and have them coach you through the process. Repeat as needed, until you can finally and totally let the issue go. If, after a couple of weeks, you are still carrying the pain, you need to start asking why. What fear, lie, misconception is keeping this pain attached to you?

I’ll finish here by saying that you can forgive. You can be free. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! Be Blessed Aryeh.

I See You

Eitan Shishkoff:  Being joined intimately with the Inventor of the universe flips that equation around, propels us into value and dissolves our aloneness, with the constant nearness of Another.

Have you ever sat down with someone close and simply taken the time to look into their eyes? Not saying anything, just sensing their spirit and letting them sense yours? I truly hope that at some point in your life you have done just that. If not, let me encourage you to suggest the exercise with someone close to you.

The chances are that smiles and giggles will hide embarrassment as you feel the uncomfortable sensation of someone being that close to you. Unless you have warning bells going off in your head regarding this person, which I implore you to not ignore, persevere until you can relax and feel deep in your being the closeness of another spiritual being.

There is an awful lot you can tell about a person when you are this close. Which is probably why we shy away from being this close with all but a few if any. However, if you are blessed enough to be intimate with someone  you love and trust and they love and trust you, taking the time to sense each other’s spirits simply by looking into each other’s eyes for a couple of minutes is an amazing, wonderful experience. Do it often enough and there is little you can hide from this other person and them, you. Which again is why people don’t do this exercise very often.

But what if you had nothing the fear? What if you had the perfect acceptance of the other person. They could say “I see you” and you could say “I see you”, everything laid bare. Imagine if you will what that would be like. We spend so much energy shaping the perception of others by masking our true selves. I do it, we all do it. I am truly blessed to have someone who I can look eye to eye and know despite everything I am, that I am loved and accepted. There simply is nothing better! The person I speak of is my partner in life. However, I also have another. Even with my partner, there are things hidden and managed, but there is one with whom I can be totally open.

His name is יְהֹוָה, Yehovah in English and He is the God of Israel. Many religions are understood to be a set of rules and regulations, a form, rather than a relationship. Yes, Yehovah has laid out the best way to live, but first and foremost, His desire is a relationship.

It’s kind of funny that we try to hide from God. We don’t want to get to close to Him because he might find out what we are really like. I’ll let you into a little secret. He already knows everything about you. He created you.

When God delivered Israel from Egypt, he did so to bring them into a relationship with Him. Exodus 6: 6 “Say, therefore, to the children of Yisra’ĕl, ‘I am יהוה, and I shall bring you out from under the burdens of the Mitsrites, and shall deliver you from their enslaving, and shall redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments, and shall take you as My people, and I shall be your Elohim. And you shall know that I am יהוה your Elohim who is bringing you out from under the burdens of the Mitsrites.”

Here you have someone who is wholly trustworthy, ever faithful, that has made a decision to love you, has even fixed it so you and He can have a relationship of the most intimate type. You can look him in the eye and say, “I see You” and He will whisper back “I See You”. Now you have to understand that the God of Israel, is a multidimensional being, without a beginning or an end, who created all things. To see Him fully would kill you in our current forms. However, He has made himself known through His word and we can get to know him intimately.

What has this to do with Healing and Wholeness. Simple. He is the source. Yehovah is the source. His pure light, Gen 1: 3 And Elohim said, “Let light come to be,” and light came to be. And Elohim saw the light, that it was good. Yeshua said, John 8:12 Therefore יהושע spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall by no means walk in darkness, but possess the light of life.”

Knowing the creator means I know I’m truly loved. I have value! Because of what Yeshua did, I Am acceptable. I am never alone. This bedrock for the soul is the source of life and healing. I’ve known it for many, many years and I continue to grow in it each and every year.

Psalm 23:6 Only goodness and kindness pursue me All the days of my life; And I shall dwell in the House of יהוה, To the length of days! When I came to an understanding that the God of all Creation was pursuing me in order to have a relationship with me, the very thought simply terrified me. I’m no longer afraid but in constant awe.

If you want to know the creator, it takes intention. The death and resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah guarantees you access into the presence of the Living God. You come on His terms, but what He offers is life. Everything needed is found in the Hebrew Bible. You start by calling out, “Yehovah God of Israel, I want to get to know you. I approach you under the covering, the protection if you will, of the blood of Yeshua, your brought forth son. Hello,” Be Blessed Aryeh.

Music is an essential ingredient for the direct application of healing and the general maintenance of a healing environment. Whenever, one starts speaking about music, like food, and let’s take ice-cream as an example, people usually have an opinion and don’t like to be told what flavour they should have.

I’d like to address not the flavour but the constituents. In a sea-side town on the east coast, a couple of hours drive from where I live, is a gelato shop that makes world class, awarding winning gelato (gelato is the Italian word for ice cream) using only natural ingredients. I remember when I was much younger, someone said to me that the soft serve ice-cream at a certain fast food outlet was mostly pig fat and contained no milk at all. Now I don’t if that is true or not, but for the sake of an example, let me compare the ‘pig fat’ “ice cream” with a world class gelato. The same flavours are available, except that the soft serve uses artificial ingredients (colours and flavours) and the gelato doesn’t. Now while a steady diet of either soft serve or gelato is not a good thing, you would be hard pressed to show that the ‘pig fat’ soft serve was healthier than the gelato.

You body tells you straight away. After the soft serve, you feel a little off. After the gelato, you feel full and satisfied. So I want to address in this article the type, not the flavour of music, necessarily. The qualification comes where an artificial flavour is made that can’t be produced naturally, but we’ll worry about that later.

You may have heard of people who play music to plants and get varying results depending upon the type of music played. Often the results would be something like, ‘classical music improves the plants while modern rock music causes them to die’. If you are of the younger generation, you simply discount this as your elders trying to hold back progress in music development. I guess in some cases, this was a convenient ploy used by parents with teenagers liking a different form of music than them. But remember, we are not talking about flavour here. We are talking about type. If the truth is told, there are probably healing qualities to be found in most forms of music as well as destructive. I’ve a hunch, however, that some types are simply destructive.

There is a lot of research done on the effect of sound on water, plants, people and there are arguments and counter arguments. I’m not sure that a definitive scientific pronouncement can be made on the subject. I suspect because there are two many variables at play that we either don’t understand are unable to accept and/or comprehend. Even with the use or words, which is sound, the difference between a positive word and a negative word, my not be the sound itself, but rather the spiritual power connected to the word from the speaker. Then you take how the word is interpreted by the hearer. I believe there is a lot more at play than just pressure waves that we can detect as sound and music.

I know music has an effect. I read a headline just today, “For once, I’m lost for words…a music review by Fraser Beath McEwing … Chinese pianist, Yuja Wang, whipped a sold-out Sydney Recital Hall audience into a standing, bravoing frenzy last night with a program of Chopin and Scriabin.” What makes an audience do that? I myself have listened to Handel’s Messiah and been moved to tears with goose bumps all over me. I’ve listened to a rock violinist that left me feeling simply exhilarated. I went to a Brian Adams concert and was just thrilled to my boots at the quality of music played. What causes that? I’ve also been horribly turned off by many forms of music. (Well some people call music, I just call it noise!)

So, what is it? The frequency, the intensity, the lyrics, the beat? Does music really heal?

Dr. Mike Friedman is a clinical psychologist in Manhattan and a member of EHE International’s Medical Advisory Board, says “Does music heal emotional suffering? Research says yes. We now know through controlled treatment outcome studies that listening to and playing music is a potent treatment for mental health issues. Research demonstrates that adding music therapy to treatment improves symptoms and social functioning among schizophrenics . Further, music therapy has demonstrated efficacy as an independent treatment for reducing depression, anxiety and chronic pain.“ (

Scientific America says, “Music Can Heal the Brain. New therapies are using rhythm, beat and melody to help patients recover language, hearing, motion and emotion”

Then there is 432Hz! Listening to 432Hz music resonates inside your body, releases emotional blockages, and expands consciousness. 432Hz music allows you to tune into the knowledge of the universe around us in a more intuitive way. Read about it here.

There is also the classic example found in the Hebrew Bible. 1 Samuel 16:23 “And it came to be, whenever the evil spirit from Elohim was upon Sha’ul, that Dawiḏ would take a lyre and play it with his hand. Then Sha’ul would become refreshed and well, and the evil spirit would leave him.”

Do I have a definitive recommendation for music. No, I wouldn’t be so bold. Allow me though to make a few observations and maybe make some recommendations.

Music can have a powerful effect on the environment we build around ourselves. So let’s give it some thought.

If we put aside the flavour issue and broaden our horizons we may find different some of the stereotypes we’ve adopted might just be ill advised. So whatever style of music you ‘like’ take the time to investigate other forms. You might be surprised.

If we take the time to be self-aware, we will begin to notice the effect that certain music has on us. We can use our built in discriminator to isolate what’s good for us and what’s not. For example, on the way home in the car today, I was listening to some sort of modern electronic music and I noticed, I had started to feel quite stressed in my upper back and neck muscles. I’m currently listening to a 432 DNA healing track. Normally I can’t concentrate with music playing at all. However, I’m writing (typing) this down in quick time with the 432Hz music playing.

I make three observations here;

  1. There is Music that has a healing effect by enhancing the bodies immune system letting it work better. I make this claim based on my own personal experience with the Healing Codes.
  2. There is music that is grating and negative either in the way it makes us feel or the negative lyrics that we take into our minds image of ourselves.
  3. There is also music that is specifically designed to alter the brain and move it into altered states. This is almost always connected in someway to spiritualism that is sourced from eastern mysticism, new age or some other incarnation. It is highly dangerous. Already we are seeing this type of music peddled by pseudo-scientific secular organisations and composers and I place a warning here, It is dangerous. In the spiritual realm, there is the Creator and the Adversary. This third type of music leads to the Adversary and the possibility of deep bondage. You can identify dangerous types of music when it is designed to alter your mind state where emptiness / oblivion is the goal. (Emptiness is not peace! Perfect relationship is peace and wholeness) Music designed to fill you mind with knowledge of the Creator and his attributes will have a positive effect and is the path you want to follow. Take or leave my advice as you like, but don’t say you weren’t made aware.

Then there are the lyrics. Yes, the lyrics again. No matter how catchy the tune, If someone told you day in and day out that you were no good, it has a negative effect. Negative lyrics can have the same effect by peddling lies that damage our sense of being.

While our built-in sensors, if allowed to operate can guide us quite well, there is a sure fire way of testing your stress response to Music. HRV measurement.

Using a mobile phone and a relatively inexpensive monitor you can monitor your stress levels at home yourself. You can work with your health professional or fitness coach if you like. I understand this system is virtually immune to the placebo effect, meaning that what you measure is real. The higher your HRV, the less stressed you are.

I’d suggest using your own built-in awareness system, and then once you have identified what you think is healing and helpful when it comes to music, get a monitor and a free HRV app and prove it, (or not).

In summary, I have barely scratched the surface on the importance of music for healing and your general environment. Part of your ill health could well be linked to what you are listening to! Think about it. That’s all this post is about. Raising awareness. Music matters to your health and well-being. Count on it. Be Blessed Aryeh.

You are what you eat! A search on this statement returns a wealth of result, from book titles, beauty tips, diet tips and the like. It is very clear from just some basic research that what we eat affects our health. If only we had some guidelines to know what to eat and stay well.

I’ve had friends over the years who when faced with a terminal illness have sought alternative health paths, either because normal medicine can’t help them anymore or they don’t like the prescription being offered. What’s been reported is that the first bit of advice given by an alternative health practitioner and even some of the mainstream practitioners is “don’t any any more pork.”

As I became dissatisfied with religion, I began a journey of getting back to the original text of the Bible. I’d been raised a Christian and my starting point was that if God was real and He had really written the Bible, then all I really needed to know was what he said in it. Now I’m already convinced the bible is true. A book can’t predict the future with pinpoint accuracy and be false. There are multiple proofs to clearly demonstrate that the text we have today of the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts of the bible is authentic and accurate. (Unlike any other book, you can actually test and validate the results). However, this is not the matter for discussion now.

What I found, however, is what we have often been taught that the bible says is simply wrong. As part of the journey, we came to the Torah instructions regarding food. At this point, I’m still of the mind that the Old Testament is old and irrelevant and these instructions don’t apply anymore. So, I and a few others started wondering, “Why would God say that?”

Although not immediately discovered I did find something profound that affects all our attitudes regarding food. Anyone with biblical knowledge will understand that there are clean and unclean foods. BUT, are there?

What I found was striking. Deuteronomy 14:3 “You shall not eat any abomination. 4 These are the animals you may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat, 5 the deer, the gazelle, the roebuck, the wild goat, the ibex,[a] the antelope, and the mountain-sheep. 6 Every animal that parts the hoof and has the hoof cloven in two and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat.

That which is considered clean is food to eat. That which is unclean is not food at all, but an abomination. So, Deuteronomy 14:7 Yet of those that chew the cud or have the hoof cloven you shall not eat these: the camel, the hare, and the rock badger, because they chew the cud but do not part the hoof, are unclean for you. 8 And the pig, because it parts the hoof but does not chew the cud, is unclean for you. Their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch.

Of course looking at the other instructions we find that shellfish, crab, prawns are not food, where fish with scales and fins are. Through a single thought change, we have introduced a flaw and opened the floodgates to stuff that we ingest that the Creator doesn’t consider food. No wonder we get sick.

Still I did research on pig meat. Pork, bacon, etc. Based on that research alone, I will never eat pig again. Separate to this, being keen on a healthy environment, I read how mussels/shellfish are used to see how polluted waterways are. They can do this because the toxins in the water end up in the flesh of the mussel/shellfish. Yes, the very delicacies that we love. Toxins and all!

I began to see why the creator gave a list of animals that were to be considered clean and therefore food and which were not. By ingesting the flesh of unclean animals that are not supposed to be food, we are putting our immune systems under great stress and actively hindering it from working, keeping us well and whole.

Many Christians will argue that the food instructions were overturned in the New Testament. All I say is look again. Never is the Torah of God overturned anywhere at any time. We read into the scriptures things that aren’t there because we either want to do our own thing or we don’t have an understanding of the context of the passage.

Many have said to me, I’m not giving up my bacon. Fine, I won’t argue with you. We all have free will. What I am saying is that the Creator has given instructions for the best way to live, even down to what we eat.

There is so much good information about food provided by specialists in their fields. All I’m saying is start from a perspective that gives you the best chance of finding the best dietary intake for health, healing and taste and that is the Creators perspective.

Again real science backs up the creators position. People live longer using the Creators guidelines and healthier to boot. Do some searching yourself and see what I mean. Be Blessed Aryeh.

Environmental Settings

Your environment could be making you sick! If you plant a sunflower in the shade, it probably won’t do very well. This seems patently obvious. But again the obvious isn’t always that obvious when we are under pressure. The environment in which we live greatly affects us and there is a lot we can do about it. To list some of the areas we should consider in our environment see the following.

Noise Levels: I heard a recent report that loud music makes alcohol taste sweeter and this probably accounts for, the louder the music, the more alcohol people consume. Now if you are trying to deaden pain, this temporary and harmful solution might be your solution of choice. However, sound volume affects our stress levels. Whether it’s the traffic on the main road, the beat of wind turbines, sustained loud music, or  a screaming child, noise increases our stress levels. There is much you can do to manage your noise levels. Anything from double glazing on your house, noise canceling headphones for the plane, a quiet area for lunch, just use your imagination. Not all noise can be countered, but most can be mitigated if we have awareness and take steps to minimize it.

Air Quality: Whether it is the documented health issues of smog in major Asian cities to the extreme of cigarette smoking, air quality in the lungs affects our health. While everyone’s circumstances will vary on the macro level, there are things we can do to maximize the quality of the air we breathe. In particular the level of particulates in the air. This can be the level of cleaning we apply to our surroundings, the surfaces of the floor and furniture we employ in our homes and offices to the plants we have around us in our personal yards and gardens. Ionic air purifiers can also be a valuable tool for an office or the whole house. Instead of relying on fans to move air through filters, the machines release a steady stream of negatively charged ions that electrify the many particulates in the air. The airborne particles pick up the negative charge and become strongly attracted to positively charged collection plates inside the machine. Even chemical smells, that caused severe headaches for someone I know were reduced to nil with a cheap $20.00 room ionizer that I loaned them.

Water Quality: Our bodies are on average 60% water and it plays some very important roles in it. For a start, it is used to maintain the health and integrity of every cell in the body, it keeps the bloodstream liquid enough to flow through blood vessels, helps eliminate the waste of the body’s metabolism, it helps to regulate body temperature, lubricates and cushion joints, keeps us looking good by moisturizer  the skin to maintain its  and appearance and carries nutrients and oxygen to cells to list just a few. “Polluted water isn’t just dirty—it’s deadly. Some 1.8 million people die every year of diarrheal diseases like cholera. Tens of millions of others are seriously sickened by a host of water-related ailments—many of which are easily preventable.Koshland Science Museum Most in the developed world have the blessing of clean drinking water. Depending on the city or town in which you live, the water will taste different, have different mineral constituents. Some will have chemicals added, the debate argued over public health benefits against natural chemical free water. What’s important to know is that clean water is essential for good health and healing. In-house water filters are available at reasonable costs to really clean up what you are drinking. Although it should be noted that reverse osmosis is the only way to remove some chemical additives. On our road to healing, we need clean water and we need to drink it. The guidelines vary on how much, but my rule of thumb is, if I feel thirsty I drink, in small mouthfuls, some water. (If you drink it fast, it passes right through. Drink it slowly and your body and brain get their cut) I do the finger press to see how quickly the blood returns and I note the colour of urine to monitor my water intake.

Food: My, is this a touchy subject. Everyone is an expert. I don’t claim to be one, but I will confess I stick to the guidelines of the Creator on this one. I will cover this in much more detail is a later post. Suffice to say, that what we ingest, gets broken down, some absorbed and used by the body and the rest eliminated or stored. There are many substances that will make us sick, either because they don’t belong in our bodies in the first place, or their combination is not what the body is expecting and so we get a negative effect. Do a bit of research on what effects highly processed foods have on your body. Next, become an amateur biologist and do some study on how they measure the pollutants in rivers and waterways. Yes, those very animals they use to examine the tissue for chemical residue, some humans eat! No wonder people get sick! It doesn’t take expensive fancy machines to eat well. It takes a basic knowledge of good food, basic preparation skills and will to eat well and be well. You may well be shocked at how many symptoms will simply disappear with a change of food intake.

Influences: There are many influences upon us and I’m not going to try to catalog them all here. What I do encourage you to do is to become aware of the influences you are subject to. You do this by intentionally listening and feeling the environment around you. As your moods and health changes, try to establish what the influences were that put you in that position. As you begin to identify negative influences, make small changes until you see changes. If they are for the better, then make the changes more wholesale. I give one example. Whenever I ate pizza with any sort of meat, I felt unwell and often had a headache 12 hours later. It turns out, that processed meats in my country must have preservatives in them called nitrates. These affect me negatively. Cut out processed meats and this area of unwellness was solved. How was this discovered? Simple, I just took the time to build awareness. Once my suspicions grew, I started doing research and in the end came up with a solution. I’ve even found sausage direct from the manufacturer, cured without any nitrates. So I get my cake and can eat it, even if I have to make my own pizzas! There are influences coming from advertising, music, books, noise, work environments, you name it. We can’t live without influences, but we can build awareness of what influences us and where possible, we can ditch the negative and on hold onto the positive.

People: Supposedly the worst punishment for a prisoner is solitary confinement. As one who like the pleasure of his own company, the back room, the open spaces, even I know the value of other people. The people we engage with affect us greatly. Firstly, we need people, but more importantly, we need the right kind of people. The former we understand. We are social creatures. Even a person in deep emotional pain would love the chance to reach out to someone or have someone reach out to them. It’s the kind of people that we associate with that can really contribute to our healing and wholeness. “Leave the simple ones and live, And walk in the way of understanding.” Prov 9:6 and “He who walks with the wise, shall be wise, But the companion of fools suffers evil.” Prov 13:20 Read my post on the kind of people we should be looking for as a partner on our journey. However, it’s not only the partner, it’s the companions we choose to keep company with as well.

Clothing: Scientists have discovered that linen fibers reflect light. The light energy aspect of living organisms has been measured by many individuals within the Scientific community. Nobel prize-winning Dr.Otto Heinrich Warburg identified signature frequency numbers of the average human at 70-90. All results with numbers less than 50 were identified as the signature frequency of chronic disease. Any number less than 15 was identified with those having a diagnosed incurable condition such as cancer. Zipporahsthimble Intriguing isn’t it. The Creator gave instructions on what types of materials should be worn and not mixed. As part of my research on why this might be I came across the research of Dr. Warburg. I’ve never worn a synthetic shirt since and have started bringing linen materials into my wardrobe. There were some shirts, that would get me quite agitated and I initially made no connection to what I was wearing. All I knew was it was great to get that shirt off my back! Certain types of clothing actually radiate positive energy. Do the research. You can find Dr. Warburg’s research online.

Music: The classic example is found in the Hebrew Bible. 1 Samuel 16:23 “And it came to be, whenever the evil spirit from Elohim was upon Sha’ul, that Dawiḏ would take a lyre and play it with his hand. Then Sha’ul would become refreshed and well, and the evil spirit would leave him.” Music can have a powerful effect on the environment we build around ourselves. There is much research and many specialists in this area. I simply note three observations. There is Music that has a healing effect by enhancing the bodies immune system letting it work better. There is music that is grating and negative. There is music that is specifically designed to alter the brain and move it into altered states. The latter is always connected in some way to spiritualism that comes under the guise of eastern mysticism, new age or some other incarnation. It is highly dangerous. Already we are seeing this type of music peddled by pseudo-scientific secular organizations and composers and I place a warning here, It is dangerous. In the spiritual realm, there is the Creator and the Adversary. This third type of music leads to the Adversary and the possibility of deep bondage. Take or leave my advice as you like, but don’t say you weren’t made aware.

Sleep & Rest: When the Israelite’s left Mitzrayim (meaning “narrow straits” or a tight spot), Egypt as we in the west know it, they were slaves and on of the first things Elohim gave them through his Torah (instruction) was a day off a week. What a day of celebration that must have been. “You mean we get a day off every 7th day?”. This historical story is a good analogy of the right environment for healing. If you are working day in and day out not getting enough sleep, or taking a day off a week, you are in a tight spot. You are a slave! Here are some reasons why sleep and rest are vital on your healing pathway. Sleep helps the brain commit new information to memory through a process called memory consolidation. It has been shown that people who’d slept after learning a task did better on tests later. Chronic sleep deprivation can alter hormone levels affecting the way our bodies process carbohydrates and affecting our appetite. Weight gain is a common result. Lack of sleep contributes to lapses that may cause falls and mistakes in our work and general routine. Irritability, impatience, and the inability to concentrate are often a symptom of a lack of sleep. There are probably many more environmental factors to consider, but the above list is a key list to consider. It’s not that there is anything earth shattering in the above list. It’s just that we have the tenancy to ignore the obvious. Let’s say we take the worst case scenario. You look at the list above and realize you are in a real mess. Everything on the list is an issue for you. The way to tackle it is simple. “How to you eat an elephant?” One bite at a time. Sit down, make a list of the things you can immediately do something about. Then identify the things that will take a bit more effort. Start slowly. Do the obvious, and wait until you see some benefit. Then move onto the next thing. Don’t go out and spend a lot of money on things. You might need to spend some, but the most effective thing you can do to improve your environment and contribute to your bodies capacity to heal itself is to decide to do one thing, and then another and then another. Be Blessed Aryeh.
